Deep Mist AI  /  AI ad platform rules

Platform rules, quoted

Can you run AI-made ads on TikTok, Meta and Snapchat?

Buyers ask us this before they order, and the honest answer lives on each platform's own policy pages, not on ours. So this page quotes those pages word for word, links every page and says when we read it. Our ads are AI-generated video, made to run as paid ads. This is a plain guide, not legal advice.

What each platform's own page says

Each quote below is copied from the platform's own page. Under it is our short reading, which never says more than the quote does. Platforms edit these pages, so open the link and read the current wording before you launch.

TikTok

About ad disclaimers in TikTok Ads Manager

“Mandatory disclaimers: AI-generated, synthetic, or manipulated media. This includes images, video, or audio that are completely AI-generated or real source material that has been significantly modified by AI.”
“The disclaimer will show at the bottom of the in-feed video for the duration of the ad.”

Internet Archive copy of 14 June 2026 (archived page); the page says last updated September 2025. Quoted 19 October 2026.

How to add disclaimers to ads in TikTok Ads Manager

“As Spark ads live organically on TikTok, they must follow the TikTok Community Guidelines policy for AI-generated content disclosure.”

Internet Archive copy of 19 May 2026 (archived page); the page says last updated September 2025. Quoted 19 October 2026.

About AI-generated content (TikTok Support)

“We also require creators to label all AI-generated content that contains realistic images, audio, and video, as explained in our Community Guidelines.”

Read 19 October 2026.

Our readingTikTok's Ads help pages list AI-generated media among the disclaimers they require, and Ads Manager has a toggle for it. Our ads are fully AI-generated, so plan to switch it on. Spark Ads follow TikTok's creator labelling rules instead, and those also ask for a label on realistic AI content.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram)

How AI-generated images in ads are identified and labelled on Meta (en-gb version)

“Meta is providing transparency by labelling ad images created or materially edited using our generative AI creative features with AI info.”

Here are a few examples of when an ad image won't have AI info:

“When ads are created or modified with third-party creation or AI tools.”
“For ads about social issues, elections or politics, advertisers are already required to disclose if the image, video or audio are digitally created or altered, including through the use of third-party AI tools.”

Read 19 October 2026.

The same article in Meta's Arabic help centre (served in English)

“Meta is providing transparency by labeling ad images created or significantly edited using our generative AI creative features or ad images created or edited using third-party AI tools with AI info.”
“Note: Depending on your region, the AI info label name or the Sponsored label name may be different.”

Read 20 October 2026.

Our readingMeta's help centre serves this article in more than one version, and they disagree about outside AI tools. The en-gb version labels ad images made with Meta's own AI tools and gives ads made with outside AI tools as an example that won't get AI info. The version in Meta's Arabic help centre, also in English, says ad images made with third-party AI tools get AI info too. We can't tell which applies to your account, so plan for the label either way. The advertiser disclosure both describe is for ads about social issues, elections or politics.

Snapchat

Snap Advertising Policies, section 4.3 Deceptive Content

We prohibit:

“Advertisements that are false or misleading, including deceptive claims, offers, functionality or business practices, including manipulating content for false or misleading purposes (whether through generative AI or through deceptive editing).”

Read 19 October 2026.

Our readingThe rule we found is about misleading people, not about which tool made the ad: Snap's advertising policies prohibit ads that manipulate content to mislead, whether through generative AI or through editing.

Before you launch

Use the platform's own AI setting

Where an ads manager offers an AI-content toggle or label, switch it on for an AI-generated video rather than relying on a caption alone.

Keep the script true

An AI presenter should say only what your product really does. A label tells viewers how the ad was made; it does not fix a false claim.

No real person's likeness

Do not ask for an ad that looks or sounds like a real, named person who has not agreed to it, even as a joke.

Read the page on launch day

These policies change without notice to us. The links on this page go to the live pages, and the date beside each quote is the day we read it.

Where this page stops

Not legal advice

This is a reading of public policy pages by a video studio, not legal advice. For a regulated product or a legal question, ask a lawyer who knows your market.

Political and social issue ads

Ads about elections, politics or social issues have their own rules, and this page does not cover them. Start with the platform's own pages for those ads.

Other platforms

We read only the pages linked here. YouTube, Pinterest, X and the rest have their own rules, so read theirs before you run the same video there.

Questions we get asked

Are AI-generated ads banned on these platforms?

The passages we quote here are about labelling AI content and about not misleading people, not about banning AI as a tool. Read each platform's exact words above, then the live page before you launch.

Do I have to label an AI ad on TikTok?

TikTok's Ads help pages, in the copies we quote, list AI-generated media among the disclaimers they call mandatory, and Ads Manager has a toggle for it. Spark Ads follow TikTok's creator labelling rules instead.

Does Meta label ads made with outside AI tools?

It depends which version of Meta's page you open. The en-gb version says ads made with outside AI tools won't get its AI info label; the version in Meta's Arabic help centre says they will. Expect the label either way. Political and social issue ads have their own disclosure rule.

Does a disclosure inside the video count?

The pages we quote don't say how a platform treats an on-screen line, so we can't tell you. Where the ads manager has its own AI setting, use it as well: a line in the video is extra, not a substitute.

Why do the TikTok Ads quotes come from the Internet Archive?

TikTok's Ads help site would not open from our network on the day we read these pages, so we quoted the Internet Archive's most recent copies and show their dates. The TikTok Support quote was read live.

If you want the ad made

We make AI-generated video ads in English and Arabic for brands in the UAE and beyond, sold through Fiverr. If you are unsure how an ad should be labelled on the platform you plan to use, ask in a Fiverr message before you order. The platform's own page is the answer we would point you to, not a guess of ours.

Our Fiverr studio page

Plainly stated

Every ad we make is AI-generated, and we say so. This page is a studio's reading of public policy pages, quoted word for word with links and read dates. It is not legal advice, and it can go out of date the day a platform edits its page.

Plan the ad, then read the rules on launch day.
